The SYSTOGEN100 joint project is part of H2Giga, one of the three hydrogen flagship projects of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which serve to implement the National Hydrogen Strategy.
In the lead project H2Giga, around 130 participating institutions from industry and science are working in around 30 different joint projects on the development of series production of electrolysers in the gigawatt range as well as other innovation topics relating to the production of green hydrogen on an industrial scale.
The SYSTOGEN100 joint project, in which ITE and other partners from industry and science as well as the Heide Region Development Agency are involved, is concerned with orchestrating the system components of energy systems with electrolysers for an efficient green hydrogen infrastructure. The term orchestration refers to the optimized design, integration and operational management of all system components in an integrated energy system.
One of the ITE's tasks here is the grid integration of electrolysers, their grid-friendly operation and the analysis of the grid-relevant properties of electrolysis systems.
Another of the ITE's tasks is to provide legal support with the aim of developing recommendations for action for a transformation of energy law with regard to an integrated hydrogen economy.
Accordingly, the ITE's Energy User Law and Grid Integration working groups are represented in the project.
