Funding is being provided for the creation of an infrastructure for visually linking the energy sectors and monitoring various relevant energy processes in Schleswig-Holstein (observatory). The aim is to be able to display the current operating states of the systems and energy networks of large-scale consumers and energy suppliers in parallel. By aggregating the system data, sector coupling can be presented, researched, analyzed, monitored and taught more effectively. The observatory will also be used to combine data from different projects in order to enable a new, cross-sectoral view of the overall energy system of tomorrow for research and teaching purposes.
