Project description

The German hydrogen economy is a central component of the energy transition and plays a key role in the transformation to a low-carbon society. The development of this new economic sector requires coordinated cooperation between the actors involved, steered by decision-makers from politics, business and research. Both the complexity and the dynamics of the stakeholder landscape pose a particular challenge. While interest in hydrogen technologies and projects is growing rapidly, there has been a lack of systematic tools to capture and visualize this evolving landscape.

The H2-Interaktiv project addresses this gap by developing an interactive network map of the German hydrogen landscape. Based on historical research and project collaborations, the platform visualizes existing networks and enables a systematic search according to criteria such as geographical location, technology fields and value creation stages. This provides project developers and decision-makers with a comprehensive overview of the competencies of hydrogen players. By providing this detailed information, H2-Interaktiv supports orientation in a dynamic environment, enables the identification of synergy potential and promotes the strategic development of regional and supra-regional cooperation - with the aim of accelerating the development of the hydrogen economy and thus the implementation of the energy transition.
